Since April 21, Soriano has lit up pitchers in the NL. Finally, owners who invested in him, not sure why, should find a way to sell him and grab someone who will last the entire year. I don't see Soriano being a long term keeper in fantasy anymore. He's getting older and to simply put it, he's in decline.
With this brand name appeal and his huge numbers (as of late), there will always be one guy in your league that will pounce at the opportunity to deal for him.

Huge DL Day
Alfonso Soriano of the Cubs was officially placed on the DL. He will be out for 6-8 weeks but he does hope he'll be back sooner.
Albert Pujols of the Cardinals will be gone for 3 weeks.
Victor Martinez of the Indians is out for 6-8 weeks after going through surgery on his elbow.
Josh Barfield of the Indians, who was just called up, was placed on the 15-Day DL.
With all these injuries, except Barfield, you are going to be in some trouble. These three big time players are all fantasy studs so how should you fill in these spots. Look at your current needs with respect to stats and pick one stat that you need help in. This will be your stat category where you should focus on with picking up someone to replace your DL player. With all these important players heading for the DL this is the time where your season will go down the drain or for your to tread water until reinforcements comes. Just focus on one category at a time and you should be able to keep afloat until these guys come back.

Hitters
It was a pretty bad day for hitters.
Albert Pujols of the Cardinals will be out for 3 weeks with a calf injury. Chris Duncan was called up and will take over for Pujols. This is a huge blow. Just hope he can recover and come back 100%.
Alfonso Soriano of the Cubs can't buy a break (no pun intended). He was hit on his hand and broke it. He will be out for 6 weeks maybe longer. Can't swing a bat without a hand. This is terrible news since owners lost him earlier this year and after his return he was absolutely scorching hot with the bat.

Soriano...AGAIN
Holy smokes, Alfonso Soriano of the Cubs went off on Pirates pitching again for the tune of 2 more HR's. Soriano just hit another 2HR's for the second straight game and has hit 7HR's in his past 6 games. On top of this he's increased his batting average by 63 points over the span of 6 games to .295.
Again, owners should be happy he's posting such big numbers. Just hope he starts to run in the near future.

Soriano
A. Soriano of the Cubs has hit 5HR's in the past 5 games and it seems he's back to mid-season form after suffering an injury to his right calf. Now that his power seems to be back in form, owners need for him to start running on the base paths.
My advice. For some reason I have never ever been impressed with Soriano because he's so inconsistent from year to year. With his big name value you can grab a stud pitcher or a few bats in return.

J-Roll
Ouch, another high profile player has landed himself on the DL. First it was Bedard then Soriano now it's Jimmy Rollins of the Phillies. Rollins will be spending the next few weeks healing after spraining his left ankle. Owners...this is a huge blow for now but when he returns you should be fine. But with all injuries just hope it doesn't come back and linger. It could affect his SB totals. This is a first rounder so you can't do a thing but wait until he returns.

Soriano
A. Soriano of the Cubs is on the 15Day-DL with a strained right calf. This is a big blow for owners due to the fact Soriano was drafted in the second round in most leagues. There is nothing you can do except try and find someone on the waiver wire to replace him.
My advice is to grab Merton of the Cubs, if there isn't anything better on the waiver wire. Merton is hitting well in the minors and hopefully will find his swing in the majors.
Sucks to be a Soriano owner...I am one of them.

Alfonsoooooo
Alfonso Soriano of he Cubs was moved to the leadoff in the line up. This is great news for owners who are looking for Soriano to add more SB's to your stats.
