The Manny situation is finally over. It was a pretty stupid few weeks where both sides tried to get their way. Anyways, back to the fantasy world. No matter where Manny goes he is going to hit and he's going to hit as a premium fantasy hitter. So, his signing doesn't change his fantasy status.
People who bat around him will benefit greatly from his amazing ability to hit. Players like Kemp, Ethier, Furcal, Martin, and maybe even Hudson will find some extra runs and a few better pitches to hit. The value of those guys increase. Make sure to keep those guys on your fantasy radars especially since drafts are quickly approaching.

Braves or Dodgers?

It seems the jumping back and forth between the Braves and the Dodgers has come to an end. After a little situation between the Braves organization and the representatives of Furcal (Link here), he has finally signed on the dotted line and will be in Dodger blue next year.
Since Furcal is going back to the Dodgers his fantasy value hasn't changed. The only thing owners want to make sure and worry over is his health. As long as Furcal stays healthy he can put up some solid fantasy numbers.
.285avg, 5-7hrs, and 25sbs.

Furcal
With Rafael Furcal landing on the 15-Day DL with a lower back strain owners need not to worry just yet. With Furcal batting .366, 5HR, 16RBI, and 8SB...owners should feel a huge pinch in their stats. This SS for the Dodgers was putting up prime time numbers and no player from the waiver wire will ever come close to replacing Furcal's production.
Owners, just sit back and wait for Furcal to heal and come back strong. But make sure to keep your eyes opened to any new developments here on my blog. I will try to keep you posted on any new details. So...just put Furcal on the bench and start to look for a SS on the wire that is hot. Currently, Ramon Vazquez of the Rangers is swinging a hot bat.
