Albert Pujols and Jorge Posada both returned to their respective lineups after.

Albert of the Cardinals has hit two home runs in his past 3 games (3 at-bats) and seems to be fine after hurting his calf. This is great news for owners because the Cardinals are now wasting time and putting him straight on the DL. If he was really hurt, the Cardinals wouldn't take the chance with their superstar and trotting him out there.

Jorge of the Yankees returned to the lineup after an extended period on the DL with a sore shoulder. Posada went 1-3 with a BB. Owners should be ecstatic with his return.

Big Albert

Albert Pujols of the Cardinals was not in the starting lineup on Wednesday due to a tight calf. At this time there is nothing to worry about since it is not an injury to his elbow which caused him to drop in the opening draft. Just wait for more information about his injury and sit tight.

Ryan Ludwick

Ryan Ludwick of the Cardinals is swinging a hot bat in his past 10 games.

10H's, 8R's, 6HR's, 11RBI's, and is now batting .336 for the season.

Owners should not be banking on Ludwick to continue this trend for the rest of the season. In his career he's a .264 hitter and has hit more than 7HR's once in his career, 14HR's in 2007. This is a great player to sell high on. Make some offers to other owners to see if they are interested in Ludwick. The teams you should target are the ones who are in some need for power.

Isringhausen

The struggling closer for the Cardinals, Jason Isringhausen, was placed on the 15-Day DL with a right hand laceration. The injury was not reported as to where and when it was sustained but reports coming out of the Cards camp is he cut it when he hit a TV in frustration while in La Russa's office.

Owners, should be a little relieved at the moment because his status is kind of solidified right now, he's on the DL. Put him on your DL and see if he can come back mentally and physically strong. Closers in fantasy baseball are vital to the success of any team so keep him and see if he can come back to earn some valuable saves in a couple of weeks. What ever you do, don't drop him, unless you are in dire need of help.

Posada

J. Posada of the Yankees is still suffering from shoulder soreness and will most likely hit the DL sometime soon. At the present time, Posada is waiting for a second opinion to see if he needs something more serious, like surgery. Owners who have Posada should be a little pissed since he does fit into the top 5 catchers in the bigs. You can't really replace Posada and his stats but you can grab a hot catcher off the wire. I have been touting Kurt Suzuki since the beginning of the year. This A's catcher seems to be legit so far, albeit he has cooled off a bit in the past week.

Here are a few other options at the catchers spot.
- Paul Bako - Reds
- Chris Coste - Phillies
- Greg Zaun - Blue Jays
- Yadier Molina - Cardinals
- Ramon Hernandez - Orioles

Don't go out and trade for another catcher just yet. This is a position, in my opinion, where if you didn't have the chance to draft the top 5 catchers you just go and live on the waiver wire searching for hot hitting catchers. At this point, you just sit back and hope Posada comes back sooner rather than later.
