John Maine

J. Maine of the Mets received a loss last night against the Cubs even though he had a solid performance. His stat line of 6IP, 5H, 2ER, 2BB, and 6K's couldn't earn him the win though. It seems Maine has been a victim of hitters going cold when he gets on the mound. Just look at his past 3 starts, which includes last night.

1-1, 18.2IP, 15H, 5ER 3HR, 11BB, 11K, and a 2.41ERA.

Those are some nice numbers coming from any starter. Okay, lower the BB's but no one is perfect. Having him as a 3-4 starter on your team would be great. Just hope the Mets can add some runs and Maine might seem so nice Wins in the near future.

Owners, you should be happy Maine has come out and pitched well after a poor first start where he allowed 4ER in 4IP. This is a nice pitcher to acquire in a trade just in case someone isn't sold on his start and capabilities for the rest of the season.
