Position Limits

In most fantasy leagues you have 162 games for each position you have. If you think about it, most players will not play the entire 162 game season. Every once in a while people will get a day off just to rest or deal with personal issues.

This is where Monday and Thursday guys come into play. On Monday and Thursdays, the schedule is fairly light so most teams are traveling or just have a day off. On these days (actually the day before) take a look at the players who are playing on Mon and Thurs so you can pick them up and place them into your lineup to gain a few stats.

For my teams, I usually have 1 or 2 guys on my roster that I keep rotating in and out from the waiver wire. These guys are primarily used for Mon/Thurs acquisitions and also to pick up starting pitchers who are in a favorable match-up.

Over a 6 month season adding 2RBIs, 2HRs, and 2SB can add up throughout the season. This production every week or close to it will put you over the top for some stats. Remember, you can win a category by 1RBI and you can lose a category by 1RBI, by putting in players for Mon/Thurs and using the position games limit you increase your chance at winning in your league.
