Harang

Aarong Harang of the Reds is doing what most people thought he would be doing so far this season EXCEPT the 2-7 record he owns. As most fantasy owners know, the win loss column for a pitcher is a meaningless indication of how well he is pitching. The win loss record is an indication on how well his team is hitting behind him and not how well a pitcher is throwing.

Harang is a victim of poor offensive support from the Reds hitters. So far this season Harang has a 3.81ERA and is still striking out batters at almost the same rate, 8K's/9IP, as his last 3 years of work. So, owners who have Harang just hang in there with his win loss record because he is worth keeping because of all the categories he helps in, besides the W/L columns. But wait, with the shakeup in the Reds lineup of late Harang might be on the right side of run support in the upcoming starts.

If you can grab Harang from another owner who is blind sided by his win loss record go ahead and reap all the benefits from this proven almost ace pitcher.
