Piazza Retires

Mike Piazza has retired from the game of baseball. This catcher had an amazing career and gave fantasy owners some eye popping stats for his position. Over his career Mike became an all-star player after his rookie season in 1992 and developed into the best hitting catcher of all time.

Taking look back on his career from a fantasy prospective you will see his numbers are absolutely and with out a doubt first round material. Click here for his career stats.

I think his 1997 season was his best, batting .362AVG, 40HR, 124RBI, and 5SB's.

On top of this season he had 9 seasons where he had 30 or more HR's but many of us will remember his little feud with Roger Clemens. The bean ball and the tossing of a bat.

Enjoy retirement Mike.
